Government
A key role in government |
Geography is the recognised basis for joining up information and processes within government and delivering improved, more efficient services. This is because addresses, location and geography underlie practically every function of government.
At all levels of government geographic information is used comprehensively to enhance decisions, inform policies and streamline operations. In particular, GIS can deliver increased efficiency and lower costs by enabling better planning and improved public services.
GDC provides Government with GI solutions - both strategic and operational - which integrates with a broad range of other software systems, for example CRM.
GDC works with many of UK’s local authorities, as well as central government departments and national agencies, and is a partner to ground-breaking projects such as the Northern Ireland Geographic Information Strategy.
